Review of my first facial roller

roller

If, like me, you were intrigued by the hype of this product then this blog post is for you! I bought my medium sized jade roller from Cult Beauty for £18 (it is free delivery on all orders over £15) in the middle of May.

Here how Cult Beauty describe the roller:

“Made from hand-carved Xiujan jade, this gorgeous roller works to stimulate lymph drainage while massaging skin and underlying muscles. A perfect way to supplement your daily skin care ritual, not only does the texture of the stone feel infinitely soothing (ideal at the end of a loooong day), but the rolling motion boosts elimination of accumulated toxins, ‘lifts’ your face and neck and helps to bring relief from stubborn tension headaches. Use from forehead to décolleté and you’ll soon see a difference in the texture, tone and clarity of your complexion. With regular use, your fine lines appear lessened, dark circles diminishes, and you’ll notice a reduction in persistent wrinkles.”

It arrived in a lovely black presentation box which I am continuing to house the roller.

I followed the massage instructions always working the roller from the inside to the outside of my face once a day every day. I used it on my face after cleansing and toning but before applying my moisturiser.

The first thing I noticed was how cold the jade stone was, which surprised me it hadn’t been refrigerated. As soon as I used it on my face it was instantly soothing and refreshing. The coolness helped with puffiness and has really smoothed the texture of my skin especially under my eyes.

My overall complexion clarity with every day use has improved. However I am yet to see the lessening of fine lines so not sure if this will come in time.

My face did go a little pink after using it so something to bare in mind if you use this before makeup.

Even though the stone is cold it has been suggested you can pop it in the fridge to make it even cooler something I am yet to try! However in these hot summer months I can imagine that would be worth it.

I also love the ritual of using this product. It makes you stop for a few minutes in your busy day to focus on yourself and taking care of your skin.

Is it worth the hype? If you are like me and have a good skin routine every day and know you can add it in, go for it as I feel repetition is key.

Let me know if you get one and how you found it!

Until next time breath in and relax
